Everything structural is inherited: wins form from five or more matching symbols connected on the grid, winning symbols are removed, new ones drop in, and every cleared position gains a multiplier that doubles each time that position wins again. During free spins those multipliers persist for the whole round rather than resetting between spins.
Cluster pays is the part that changes how it plays
This matters more here than on any other Pragmatic Play title, because the multipliers are attached to positions, not to symbols or to the round. A cluster needs matching symbols to touch orthogonally. So the same eight symbols can be worth nothing or worth a great deal depending only on where they land, and where they land determines which cells build multipliers for the rest of the feature.
That is the opposite of Sweet Bonanza 1000, which is often filed in the same category and is not a cluster game at all: there, any eight matching symbols pay anywhere on the grid and the multiplier bombs float free. That is the arithmetic of repeated doubling — a position that wins ten times in a row lands on 1,024 — while the marketing figure in the title is the round number.
